Canucks goaltender Cory Schneider will miss their final regular-season home game because of an unspecified injury.

The team says Schneider won't play Thursday against the Anaheim Ducks. Vancouver's expected starter in the playoffs is listed as day-to-day.

The Canucks plan to recall Joe Cannata from the AHL's Chicago Wolves.

Schneider is 17-9-4 this season with a 2.11 goals against average. His absence means Roberto Luongo may play one final regular-season game in Vancouver.

The former Canucks captain is expected to leave the team by trade or contract buyout in the offseason. He was initially expected to be traded last summer after Schneider replaced him as the starter in the playoffs.
