The Seattle Seahawks signed safety Kam Chancellor to a four-year contract extension on Monday.

Chancellor was entering the final season of the four-year pact he received after being a fifth-round draft choice in 2010.

The Virginia Tech product had 91 tackles and four passes defensed in 16 games last season.

In 47 career games with the Seahawks, Chancellor has 221 tackles, two sacks and four interceptions.
