The United States earned a spot in the 2014 Fed Cup World Group competition behind the efforts of Serena and Venus Williams on Sunday.
The sisters each won their singles matches to give the Americans an insurmountable 3-1 lead over Sweden in the best-of-five tie.
The world No. 1 Serena posted a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Sofia Arvidsson, then Venus defeated Johanna Larsson 6-3, 7-5.
Venus replaced Sloane Stephens, who had committed a staggering 74 unforced errors in dropping the opening singles match against Arvidsson on Saturday. Serena drew the Americans even by beating Larsson.
The United States awarded Sweden a win in the doubles rubber with a walkover.
