Texas Rangers pitcher Nick Tepesch left Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners after taking a line drive off his arm.

Tepesch lasted 1 2/3 innings until he got hit in the right arm on a batted ball by Jesus Montero.

The hit left a gash on his arm, which quickly prompted manager Ron Washington and trainer Jamie Reed to head to the mound. Tepesch attempted to stay in the game and threw several test pitches, but was ultimately replaced by Derek Lowe.

Initial diagnosis of Tepesch's injury was revealed as a right wrist contusion. He is expected to be listed as day-to-day and will undergo further examination on Sunday.
