The San Diego Padres placed pitcher Tyson Ross on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday.

The move, which is retroactive to April 18, was made due to Ross having a left shoulder subluxation.

Ross, 25, is 0-1 with a 3.86 earned run average in three starts this season with San Diego. He was acquired this past offseason in a trade with Oakland.

To take his spot on the roster, the team has recalled pitcher Thad Weber from Triple-A Tucson. Weber pitched in one game for San Diego earlier this season and gave up two runs in 3 2/3 innings.
