Dundee kept its hopes of Scottish Premier League survival alive on Saturday, leaving it late in a 2-1 win over 10-man St. Mirren.
Jim McAlistair had opened the scoring for visiting Dundee in the 40th minute only to see his strike get canceled out by Steven Thompson seven minutes after the halftime interval.
Jim Goodwin was sent off for St. Mirren in 65th minute, and Dundee took advantage as Carl Finnigan struck nine minutes from time to help the visitors claim all three points.
Dundee remains bottom of the table but improves to 26 points, 10 points shy of St. Mirren.
Also on Saturday, John Sutton scored the lone goal to see Hearts claim a 1-0 win at Kilmarnock. Ryan Stevenson missed a penalty in the second half, but Hearts still managed emerge victorious and climb to 40 points.
Killie remains on 42 points.
