The first round of the Greater Gwinnett Championship concluded Saturday and Michael Allen carded a 5-under 67 to grab a 1-stroke lead.
The start of the tournament was delayed four hours on Friday due to rain and play was later suspended after darkness set in, meaning the remainder of the first round had to be finished Saturday.
Bart Bryant was one of the 24 players to finish his round Friday and shot a 4- under 68 to hold a share of the lead with David Frost.
Frost was 4-under through 13 holes, but tripped to an eight at the par-4 fifth -- his 14th -- when play resumed Saturday to fall well off the pace.
He then bogeyed the eighth to finish his first round with a 1-over 73.
Bryant, however, is joined in second place by Mark Calcavecchia, Esteban Toledo and Mark O'Meara.
Neal Lancaster, Brad Faxon, Tom Watson, Duffy Waldorf and Fred Funk share sixth at 3-under 69, while Andrew Magee sits alone in 11th at minus-2.
