Bart Bryant carded a 4-under 68 on Friday to grab a share of the lead at the Greater Gwinnett Championship before play was suspended due to darkness.

He is joined atop the leaderboard by David Frost, who is 4-under through 13 holes.

The start of the first round at TPC Sugarloaf was delayed four hours because of rain and only 24 players were able to finish their opening rounds.

Also among those who finished were Duffy Waldorf and Neal Lancaster, who both shot 3-under 69s to sit in a group tied for third place.

They were joined there by John Cook, Michael Allen, Mark O'Meara and Fred Funk, all of whom are on their back nine and will finish their first rounds at 8:00 a.m. (et) Saturday.

Bryant started his round on the back nine and opened with four straight pars before getting on the board with back-to-back birdies at the 14th and 15th.

He dropped a shot at the 17th, but recovered with a birdie at the 18th to hit the turn at 2-under.

He added another birdie at the second, and then followed a streak of four pars with a birdie at the seventh.

Bryant closed with a par at the last right before play was called to a halt.

Frost also started on the back nine and was bogey-free through his 13 holes.

He picked up his first stroke with a birdie at the 13th, and then recorded three birdies over his last six holes to move into a share of the lead with Bryant.

Lancaster traded six birdies with three bogeys during his round, while Waldorf followed a string of nine consecutive pars with four birdies and a bogey over his inward nine to sit in second place.
