New York Mets top catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud has a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal of the left foot.

The 24-year-old d'Arnaud, who is playing for New York's Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas, suffered the injury during Wednesday's game. He was hitting .250 with five doubles, one home run and eight RBI in 12 games for the 51s.

D'Arnaud, who was obtained from the Toronto Blue Jays in the December trade for knuckleballer R.A. Dickey, will fly to New York to be examined at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
