Tuesday's game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds was suspended in the ninth inning of a scoreless tie due to rain.

The game will resume Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. (ET) in the bottom of the ninth.

The start of the game was originally delayed over 90 minutes because of rain, but went on without stoppage until the completion of the top half of the ninth.

Reds starter Homer Bailey tied a career-high with 10 strikeouts, while scattering two hits over eight scoreless innings. Aroldis Chapman struck out a pair in a scoreless ninth.

Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick also had a strong performance, allowing just two hits over seven scoreless innings. Kendrick has surrendered no more than two earned runs in 12 of his last 16 road starts.
