San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Nationals placed catcher Wilson Ramos on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a right hamstring strain.

Ramos suffered the injury during the eighth inning of Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants when he slid into second base following a double.

Ramos spent time on the disabled list earlier this season while recovering from hamate bone surgery. The 26-year-old is hitting .261 with a homer, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in 24 games so far this season.
