Augusta, GA – Jason Day converted back-to-back birdies at the 13th and 14th on Sunday to grab a 1-shot lead on the back nine at the 77th Masters.
Day has moved to 3-under par for his round and 8-under for the tournament. He had fallen three back of Angel Cabrera, but his fourth birdie in four days at the 13th helped him move atop the leaderboard.
Cabrera drove into the trees at 13, then found water with his second. He bogeyed that hole for the second day in a row to slip into a share of second at minus-7.
The Argentine was joined there by Adam Scott, who is 1-under through 14 holes.
Marc Leishman is also 1-under for his round after 14 holes and alone in fourth at minus-6.
Four-time champion Tiger Woods has four birdies from the ninth to 15th to move to 5-under for the championship. He stands alongside Brandt Snedeker, who is 2-over through 13 holes.
