Paris Saint-Germain moved 10 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 on Saturday after posting a 1-0 win over struggling Troyes at the Stade de l'Aube.

After suffering a Champions League quarterfinal exit at the hands of Barcelona in midweek, the French league leaders rebounded nicely to put themselves closer to claiming their first domestic title since the 1993-94 season.

PSG had the better of the play for most of the match, keeping 54 percent of possession and firing 12 shots, five of which were on target.

After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, Les Parisiens broke the deadlock in the 65th minute as Blaise Matuidi got on the end of a cross from Gregory Van der Wiel and powered a left-footed strike past Troyes goalkeeper Yohann Thuran- Ulien for the 1-0 advantage.

Troyes pushed numbers forward in search of a tying goal, but in never materialized and PSG held on to claim three points.

The result keeps Troyes at the foot of the Ligue 1 table on 25 points from 32 matches.

Elsewhere in France on Saturday, Paul Alo'o Efoulou and Mehdi Mostefa exchanged first-half tallies as Ajaccio and Nancy played to a 1-1 draw, while Bordeaux scored three times in the opening 45 minutes and rolled to a 4-2 win over defending champions Montpellier.

Nicolas Fauvergue and Diego scored on each side of the break as Reims earned a 2-0 result over Brest, while Evian cruised to a 4-2 result over Rennes.

In Saturday's final Ligue 1 fixture, Jeremie Aliadiere scored a brace in the final 15 minutes as Lorient pasted Bastia by a 4-1 count at the Stade du Moustoir.
