Top seed Nicolas Almagro and fifth-seeded American John Isner were semifinal winners Saturday and will meet for the title at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship.
Almagro cruised past American wild card Rhyne Williams by a 6-2, 6-1 margin in just under one hour at River Oaks Country Club.
Up next for Almagro will be Isner, who took down defending champion Juan Monaco 1-6, 6-4, 6-4. Monaco beat Isner in last year's Houston finale.
Almagro is seeking his 13th career title, with all of his previous trophies coming on clay. Meanwhile, Isner will try to claim his sixth title.
The 2013 Houston champ will collect $82,300. This marks the lone ATP clay- court event in the U.S.
