The New England Patriots signed veteran defensive lineman Tommy Kelly on Wednesday.

Kelly spent the past nine seasons with the Oakland Raiders. He had 45 tackles and one sack in 16 games during the 2012 season.

Undrafted out of Mississippi State in 2004, Kelly had four productive seasons with Oakland before late team owner Al Davis signed him to a seven-year, $50 million dollar contract prior to the 2008 season.

Kelly hasn't missed a game since signing the contract. The 32-year-old recorded 419 tackles, 34 sacks and 16 pass deflections in 129 games with the Raiders.
