Hurricanes activate Faulk

The Carolina Hurricanes activated defenseman Justin Faulk from injured reserve on Tuesday.

Faulk missed the team's last nine games with a sprained MCL. He has three goals and seven assists in 28 games this season.

The Hurricanes could also have forward Alexander Semin for Tuesday's game against the Penguins. The 29-year-old, who has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, has 10 goals and a team-leading 26 assists this season.

In addition, Carolina assigned defenseman Brett Bellemore to Charlotte (AHL).
