BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Carlos Munoz picked up the third Indy Lights victory of his career Sunday with a wire-to-wire win at Barber Motorsports Park.
Munoz started the Legacy Indy Lights 100 on the pole and gave Andretti Autosport its second consecutive win in the 40-lap Firestone Indy Lights race on the 2.38-mile road course after Sebastian Saavedra won last year. Munoz had finished seventh in the season opener at St. Petersburg after starting up front but called this a "perfect weekend."
Hawksworth picked up his second straight podium finish while Gabby Chavez finished a career-best third.
Chavez was eighth two weeks ago at St. Petersburg.
