The Milwaukee Brewers announced on Saturday that they have placed third baseman Aramis Ramirez on the 15-day disabled list with a left knee sprain.
The veteran 34-year-old aggravated his knee while running the bases in a 3-1 loss versus Arizona on Friday and did not return. Through four games this season Ramirez has gone 5-for-13 with three doubles.
All-Star left fielder Ryan Braun also missed Friday's contest due to neck spasms and his status is still unknown. He has gone 4-for-10 in three games this season.
Utility infielder Josh Prince was called up from Triple-A Nashville to fill the spot.
