Fairfield, CT – Sacred Heart's football program will kick off its season on Aug. 31 at Marist and play five home games as part of an 11-game schedule.
The Pioneers hope to build on a 2-9 season, including a 1-7 mark in the Northeast Conference, when they head to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., to open their campaign against Marist from the Pioneer Football League.
Sacred Heart will host Division II Chowan (Sept. 21, Homecoming) and Monmouth (Nov. 2) in non-conference games, and Wagner (Oct. 5), Central Connecticut State (Oct. 12) and Duquesne (Nov. 9) within the NEC.
