Northwestern says former Wildcats player Tavaras Hardy will stay on as an assistant under new coach Chris Collins.
Hardy spent seven years as an assistant under Bill Carmody. He was also a two-time All-Big Ten selection for the Wildcats who graduated in 2002. Carmody was fired and replaced by Collins, the longtime Duke assistant.
Hardy is the first member of Collins' staff. The school announced the move on Friday.
