Kilmarnock and St. Mirren battled to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday at Rugby Park.

The traveling side had the better of the play early on and Esmael Goncalves gave St. Mirren the lead 36 minutes into the match. But just two minutes into the second half, Kris Boyd netted the equalizer for Kilmarnock to square things at 1-1.

Both teams sent numbers forward in the final minutes in search of a winning goal, but neither side could put the ball in the back of the net and had to settle for a point apiece.

The result leaves Kilmarnock in sixth place with 42 points, while St. Mirren improves to 35 points from 32 matches to remain in 10th place.
