INDIANAPOLIS – A little rest may be the best medicine Louisville can get before playing Duke in Sunday's Midwest Regional final.
After contending with an illness that had Russ Smith coughing every time he rested Friday night and was spreading throughout the team, the Cardinals said Saturday they are feeling better.
Guard Peyton Siva said the team feels more energetic after getting to sleep in Saturday, one benefit of playing the early regional semifinal game and a midday practice time.
Players say they've been on antibiotics and have been receiving regular treatments, too. It showed.
