(SportsNetwork.com) - The Charlotte Bobcats halted a three-game losing streak last time out and will try to continue that momentum Wednesday night in Philadelphia against the 76ers.
The Bobcats were incredibly efficient on Tuesday at home against the New York Knicks. Charlotte shot 50.7 percent from the field, committed just five turnovers and won 108-98.
Al Jefferson poured in a game-high 35 points and pulled down eight rebounds. He shot 14-for-20 from the field and 7-for-8 from the free-throw line.
"I was feeling good tonight. I made sure I had a good foundation on every one of my shots because I really don't have any lift out of my right ankle. I got a good base and things worked out really well for me out there," Jefferson said.
Kemba Walker added 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Gerald Henderson scored 17 for the Bobcats. The three mentioned players accounted for the five Charlotte turnovers.
Charlotte forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist returned to the lineup after missing 19 games with a broken left hand. The second-year man from Kentucky had eight points, seven rebounds and two steals in the win.
The Sixers have lost four straight after a season-high four-game winning streak. Three of the four setbacks came at the Wells Fargo Center, where the 76ers are just 7-11 on the season.
On Saturday, those same Knicks left Philly with a 102-92 victory.
Spencer Hawes and James Anderson each had 17 points for the Sixers, while Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner donated 15 and 12 points, respectively. Tony Wroten and Michael Carter-Williams each had 11 points for the 76ers.
It was all Knicks after the Sixers took a 28-20 lead into the second quarter. Trailing 34-27, New York went on a 25-6 run to close out the first half to lead by 12. The Knicks added 32 in the third quarter to put the game away.
"It was a snowball effort. We didn't put out the fire early enough," Hawes said.
The Sixers signed center Dewayne Dedmon to a 10-day contract and he should be available on Wednesday.
After the Bobcats game, the 76ers host the Miami Heat on Friday, then hit the road for three straight.
The Bobcats thumped the Sixers 105-88 in Charlotte on Dec. 6. Philly has owned this series recently with eight wins in the last 11 meetings and an 11-2 mark in the last 13 in Philadelphia.
