The Golden State Warriors have won two straight and will try to extend their winning streak Wednesday night when they host the Sacramento Kings.

The Warriors have won both of their recent games at home and need every victory they can get. Golden State is trying to stay in the sixth spot in the Western Conference playoff race. The Houston Rockets are only a game behind.

On Monday, the Warriors knocked off the Los Angeles Lakers, 109-103.

Steph Curry was questionable before the game as he tweaked his surgically- repaired right ankle Saturday night. Not only did Curry play, he scored 25 points and handed out 10 assists.

"MVP candidate, in my opinion," said Jarrett Jack. "What more could you ask of an MVP-type player? He's been having incredible performances night in and night out battling through injuries. His ankle wasn't 100 percent but he still gutted it out and had a phenomenal performance for us."

Curry has been sensational, but he wasn't the only one on Monday night. David Lee posted 23 points and 12 rebounds and Klay Thompson netted 22 points on 6- for-11 3-point shooting. Jack even contributed 19 points off the bench.

The Kings aren't going to the playoffs and have lost two straight.

On Sunday, Sacramento fell to the Philadelphia 76ers, 117-103. The win snapped a 15-game losing streak on the road for the Sixers and the Kings themselves have dropped four in a row away from Sacramento.

Isaiah Thomas led the Kings against the Sixers with 25 points. Marcus Thornton added 22 and Tyreke Evans scored 19. Patrick Patterson was the only other Kings player in double figures with 12 off the bench.

Thomas has been playing very well of late, but he'll have a tough task ahead of him Wednesday night. He'll be in charge of stopping Curry.

"You just have to make it tough for him," Thomas said of covering Curry. "I've seen previous games, guys pressure him and he doesn't really like it. For the most part, Toney (Douglas), Jimmer (Fredette) and I have to try to pressure him and make him do things he's not comfortable with."

DeMarcus Cousins will play on Wednesday despite a large gash under his right eye. Cousins said the injury came from one of his own during the Philadelphia game.

"Patrick (Patterson)," joked Cousins.

The Kings have taken two of out three against the Warriors this season, but both victories came in Sacramento. The Kings have lost three straight and seven of their last eight on the road in this series.
