The Oakland Raiders released defensive lineman Tommy Kelly, the team announced on Wednesday.

Undrafted out of Mississippi State in 2004, Kelly had four productive seasons with Oakland before late team owner Al Davis signed him to a seven-year, $50 million dollar contract prior to the 2008 season.

Kelly hasn't missed a game since signing the contract, but is coming off one of his least impressive seasons, making 45 tackles and registering just one sack.

The 32-year-old spent nine seasons with the club, amassing 419 tackles, 34 sacks and 16 pass deflections.
