The New England Patriots have re-signed offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer.
Terms of the deal for the unrestricted free agent were not disclosed, but the Boston Globe has reported it to be a four-year contract for $17 million. The paper added that $8.5 million is guaranteed and incentives could make the total package worth $27 million.
Vollmer has started 44 of the 51 games he has played since New England made him a second-round pick in the 2009 draft. He started 15 games at right tackle last season and both playoff games.
The 28-year-old native of Germany was a Second-Team All-Pro in 2010.
