Penn State coach Coquese Washington would like to believe her team's experience beating LSU on the Lady Tigers' home court in the second round of last year's NCAA tournament would bode well for Tuesday night's rematch.
She'd be pleased if LSU's relative shortage of healthy players was something Penn State could exploit.
Washington suspects it won't be that simple, though. She says LSU looks comfortable playing with a short rotation and has played its best lately, winning eight of nine games.
LSU coach Nikki Caldwell says she's proud of how the Lady Tigers jelled and that they'll be OK as long as several players don't foul out. LSU started the tournament with eight players, but guard Jeanne Kenney's head injury in Sunday's first round victory could reduce that to seven.
