The Nashville Predators activated forward Patric Hornqvist from injured reserve on Monday, and also assigned defenseman Ryan Ellis to Milwaukee of the AHL.
Hornqvist had missed the last eight games, last playing on March 8, with an unspecified upper-body injury. That followed on the heels of a 10-game absence earlier in the season with a lower-body issue.
The 26-year-old has only posted three goals and five assists in 14 appearances during this truncated schedule.
Ellis, 22, totaled two goals and six points in 31 games for the Preds in his second NHL campaign.
