UConn dealing with great expectations as Huskies begin quest for sixth straight Final Four

Connecticut's players acknowledge they don't have the same sense of excitement and awe as the other programs preparing for the first round of the NCAA tournament at Gampel Pavilion.

The top-seeded Huskies will play 16th-seeded Idaho Saturday after Vanderbilt takes on St. Joseph's in the early game.

The No. 8 Commodores tried to take the name cards from Friday's news conference as souvenirs. No. 9 St. Joseph's asked if they could get a photo with UConn coach Geno Auriemma.

The Vandals were thrilled to be in the tournament for just the second time ever, making the program's third trip in history to the eastern time zone.

But Connecticut senior Kelly Faris says the Huskies are focused on trying to reach the Final Four for a record sixth straight year, and have their sights set on an eighth national title.
