Cruz Azul collected its third win of the season on Sunday as Mariano Pavone scored a pair of goals in a 3-0 win over 10-man Atlante.

A 28th-minute red card to Atlante's Joe Bizera put his team at a major disadvantage, and Pavone capitalized in the 44th to put Cruz Azul in front shortly before halftime.

Pavone was at it again 10 minutes into the second half when he netted his sixth goal of the season to double Cruz Azul's lead, while an own goal from Atlante's Diego Jimenez nine minutes from time capped the scoring.

Tigres was held to a 1-1 draw at home by Guadalajara but is still two points clear at the top of the league because Atlas sustained a 2-1 defeat against Santos.

Omar Bravo's penalty kick in the 64th minute put Atlas in front, but Santos rallied to score twice in the final 11 minutes as Rodolfo Salinas equalized before Carlos Quintero netted the winning goal in the 89th.

Third-place America was held to a 1-1 draw by San Luis after Juan Cuevas converted a penalty kick in stoppage time, Toluca lost 1-0 at Queretaro to an own goal from Diego Novaretti, while Duvier Riascos netted the equalizer in the 87th minute for Tijuana in a 2-2 draw with Monterrey after he put his team behind with a first-half own goal.

Pachuca stunned Puebla with a goal in the 90th minute from Abraham Carreno and another from Angel Reyna in stoppage time to secure a 2-1 win, Jaguares and Morelia traded first-half goals in a 1-1 draw and Leon finished in a 0-0 stalemate at UNAM.
