Nyon, Switzerland – Lionel Messi and David Beckham could be sharing the pitch in the Champions League quarterfinals after Messi's Barcelona was drawn with Beckham's PSG on Friday.
The Spanish giants overcame a 2-0 deficit against AC Milan last round to win 4-2 on aggregate, while PSG advanced after topping Valencia, 3-2.
Real Madrid escaped a difficult round of 16 contest with Manchester United, and Jose Mourinho's bid to become the first manager to win the competition with three different teams continues against Galatasaray, which reached the quarterfinals after a 4-3 aggregate triumph over German side Schalke.
Malaga is making its first ever appearance in the last eight and the Spanish outfit will meet Borussia Dortmund, while a pair of league leaders square off in the other quarterfinal with Serie A table-toppers Juventus taking on runaway Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.
The first legs will take place April 2-3, with the return fixtures being played the following week.
Unlike in past seasons, UEFA did not make the draw for the semifinal pairings, which will be determined next month.
