New York Knicks All-Star center Tyson Chandler exited Wednesday's game against the Nuggets after colliding with Denver's Corey Brewer under the basket.

The incident occurred late in the first half and ended with Chandler holding his left knee on the ground, clearly in pain. He was helped to the locker room by teammates with what the Knicks deemed a contusion and did not return.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year came in averaging 10.8 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks and has not missed a game all season.

To make matters worse for New York, Carmelo Anthony, who is also battling a knee injury, gingerly walked to the locker room in the third quarter. The Knicks said Anthony's knee was simply sore.

Anthony finished 3-of-12 from the floor for nine points in his first game in Denver since orchestrating a trade to New York two years ago. The Nuggets won the grudge match, 117-94.
