Denver Broncos safety Quinton Carter is facing felony charges following his arrest last weekend on allegations that he cheated at a Las Vegas casino craps game.

Carter was arrested late Saturday at the Palace Station after officials reported he added money to his bets after the dice had already rolled.

Carter was charged with three counts of fraudulent act in a gaming establishment. Each charge carries a possible six-year prison sentence.

Carter is 24. He was booked and released at the Clark County jail in Las Vegas. It's not immediately clear if he has a lawyer.

Carter also faces a warrant charge of failure to complete counseling after pleading guilty in a 2011 misdemeanor marijuana possession case.

A Broncos spokesman says the team is looking into the matter.
