Justin Black scored seven of his 20 points in overtime, including the go-ahead 3-pointer, to lift Morgan State over Savannah State 64-61 Thursday night in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament.

Ian Chiles added 14 points, Anthony Hubbard scored 13 off the bench and Dewayne Jackson chipped in 11 for the fifth-seeded Bears (16-14), who have won seven straight games.

Fourth-seeded Savannah State (19-14) led 53-49 before Black, who went 6-of-12 shooting, sandwiched two 3-pointers around a Rashad Hassan dunk to send the game into overtime.

Deven Williams hit back-to-back 3s in OT to put Savannah State up 61-59 but Black answered with two free throws and then his go-ahead 3-pointer with 33 seconds left to seal it.

The Tigers shot 24 free throws but made just 17.

Williams paced Savannah State with 20 points. The Tigers missed their final four shots, three of which came from 3-point range.
