San Luis Potosi, Mexico – Tigres remained at the top of the Liga MX table with a 2-1 win over San Luis at the Estadio Alfonso Lastras on Saturday.
Lucas Lobos had given visiting Tigres the lead in the 12th minute, but San Luis equalized through Yasser Corona 13 minutes later.
The two sides remained tied until the 58th minute when Luis Garcia popped up with what proved to be the game-winner.
Alan Zamora was sent off 18 minutes from time for the home side to effectively seal San Luis' fate.
The result sees Tigres stay top of the league with 24 points from its 10 league matches thus far, extending its unbeaten start to the campaign.
San Luis remains at the bottom of the table with just two points, still searching for its first win.
Keeping pace with Tigres at the Liga MX summit is Atlas, which picked up a 1-0 victory over Toluca on Sunday thanks to Rodrigo Millar's goal nine minutes from time, helping the club stay within a point of Tigres.
UNAM and Guadalajara also ran out 1-0 winners on Sunday, grabbing victories over Puebla and Pachuca, respectively.
On Saturday, Luis Rey bagged a late equalizer in Chiapas' 1-1 draw with Cruz Azul, Jesus Zavala produced a brace in Monterrey's 2-1 defeat of Leon, Santos received goals from Herculez Gomez and Oribe Peralta in its 2-1 win over Atlante and Wilberto Cosme notched the lone goal in Queretaro's 1-0 victory over Tijuana.
And in Friday's lone fixture in Mexico's top flight, Morelia and Club America played to a 1-1 draw behind goals from Hector Mancilla and Cristian Benitez.
