CORAL GABLES, Fla. – On Saturday night, No. 5 Miami can clinch the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season championship.
Easier said than done.
Not only will the Hurricanes have to beat third-ranked Duke to wrap up the crown, they would have to beat the Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium, where the home team has won 92 of its last 97 games according to STATS LLC.
One of those five losses, however, came against Miami last season.
The Hurricanes rode the strength of 27 points from Reggie Johnson to win at Cameron last season. The number 27 might be in Duke's heads this time, but not because of what Johnson did last year. Miami beat Duke by 27 points earlier this year, the worst regular-season loss for the Blue Devils in nearly three decades.
