Atletico Madrid midfielder Tiago is set for a long spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken arm in the club's Copa del Rey semifinal against Sevilla on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old sustained the injury in the first half of Wednesday's cup clash under a challenge from Sevilla's Gary Medel. Tests in Madrid confirmed that the Portugal international had broken a bone in his right forearm.
Tiago will undergo surgery to repair the broken bone. No timetable has been given for his return, though it has been reported that Tiago will miss at least two months.
