Paris, France – UEFA confirmed on Wednesday that Paris Saiint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been suspended one additional match in European competition following a straight red card earlier this month.
The Swedish star was sent off in stoppage time of PSG's 2-1 victory over Valencia in the first leg of the Champions League Round-of-16 for a rash challenge on Valencia midfielder Andres Guardado.
Ibrahimovic will now miss the return leg of the Round-of-16 tie at the Parc des Princes on March 6, as well as the first leg of the quarterfinals, should PSG advance.
