Valencia, Spain – Osasuna continued its push away from the relegation places on Monday by scoring two goals in the closing minutes of a 2-0 home win against Levante.
Osasuna has now earned 10 points from its last four games to go five points clear of the bottom three, while Levante has suffered losses in three of its past four contests.
Second-half substitutes Masoud Shojaei and Kike Sola provided the late goals, despite Levante getting the better of the first-half exchanges.
Andres Fernandez produced a pair of quality saves on Levante's Obafemi Martins before he was beaten by a shot from Sergio Ballesteros, only for the ball to strike the post.
But Osasuna came on strong at the end and snatched all three points with Shojaei scoring a fantastic curling shot that beat goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
Sola then scored deep into stoppage time to secure the win when he swept home a pass from Emiliano Armenteros.
