Inverness climbed into second place in the Scottish Premier League table after taking all three points from a 3-2 thriller against Hearts at Tynecastle Stadium on Saturday.

Gary Warren had given visiting Inverness the lead by halftime thanks to his goal in the 15th minute.

Hearts were able to equalize through Jason Holt in the 55th minute, but William McKay restored the lead for the visitors six minutes later.

Andy Webster then drew Hearts level again as the defender scored in the 74th minute, but Inverness was able to get back in front for good just three minutes later as Warren struck again to complete his brace.

The win sees Inverness improve to 41 points to move one point clear of Motherwell, which suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Ross County at Victoria Park on Saturday. Motherwell has lost two straight league games while Ross County, improving to 38 points, has won three in a row.

Also on Saturday, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen played to a 1-1 draw to remain level in the table while Rowan Vine scored the lone goal in St. Johnstone's 1-0 defeat of St. Mirren.
