Nathan Horton scored a pair of goals and the Boston Bruins took down the Tampa Bay Lightning, 4-2, on Thursday.

Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand each had a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who have won two in a row since a two-game skid. Tuukka Rask made 24 saves in the win.

Steven Stamkos had a goal and an assist for the Lightning, who had a two-game winning streak snapped. Cory Conacher also lit the lamp.

Anders Lindback stopped 22-of-26 shots in defeat.

"Our players definitely competed today, although this was probably the most intense game all year by far," Tampa Bay coach Guy Boucher said. "That (Boston) was a great team out there, and the way they played, that's why they've only lost two games."

The Bruins scored two goals on their first four shots of the game. First, Horton put home a rebound from the left circle at the 1:11 mark.

Bergeron extended Boston's margin just over two minutes later. Marchand's nice feed from behind the net led to Bergeron's third goal of the season.

"We had a good start," Horton said. "I think that's what carried us throughout the game."

Tampa Bay cut the gap to one on Stamkos' 11th goal of the season. Stamkos' shot from the slot got past Rask at the 8:13 mark.

Conacher tied the game nine minutes into the middle stanza. Conacher took a nice feed from Teddy Purcell and beat Rask with a shot from the left circle.

However, the Bruins went back in front at the 13:58 mark. Tyler Seguin's shot was blocked but Marchand immediately jumped on the puck at the hash marks and rocketed a shot past Lindback.

Horton gave Boston a two-goal cushion at the 2:33 mark of the third period. Zdeno Chara's shot from the left point was deflected in by Horton, making it 4-2.

Rask made nine saves in the final frame to preserve the victory.

Game Notes
