FC Dallas secured the services of midfielder Je- Vaughn Watson in a trade with the Houston Dynamo, while the club also signed Brazilian winger Michel.

Watson arrives from Houston in exchange for a 2015 second-round pick in the MLS SuperDraft after spending the past two seasons with the Dynamo, where he scored one goal and added two assists in 41 MLS games.

"I think Je-Vaughn adds to what we need as far as balancing our team," said head coach Schellas Hyndman. "We need a central midfielder who can play on both sides of the ball, can attack and also can defend well. He comes in with good experience. He's 29 years old. He's been playing the league for a few years now, and playing for Houston, when you look at the success Houston has had the last two years being in MLS finals, he's put in a lot of minutes for them. But the thing we're really excited about is that he will be available for us as we start our season."

Michel, 31, has spent time with a number of teams in Brazil, including Atletico Mineiro, Paranaense and Nautico while playing in Europe with Greek side Aris FC as well as Standard Liege in Belgium.
