Outfielder Michael Saunders was one of four players to agree to one-year contracts with the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday.

Saunders, 26, has played parts of the past four seasons with the Mariners. He set career highs across the board in 2012, batting .247 with 19 home runs, 31 doubles, 57 RBI and 125 hits over 139 games.

The Mariners also signed infielder Alex Liddi as well as pitchers Carter Capps and Brandon Maurer.

Liddi, a native of Italy, has played in 53 combined games with Seattle over the past two years, batting .224 with six home runs.

Capps made his big league debut with the Mariners last season, compiling a 3.96 ERA in 18 relief appearances.

Maurer spent the 2012 campaign in Double-A, going 9-2 with a 3.20 ERA in 24 starts for the Jackson Generals.
