Zurich, Switzerland – FIFA announced Tuesday that it plans to implement goal-line technology for the 2013 Confederations Cup and 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The governing body used goal-technology during the 2012 Club World Cup in Japan and experienced no issues, signaling that the organization plans to go ahead with further implementation.
"With different technologies on the market, FIFA has launched a tender today, setting out the technical requirements for the two forthcoming competitions in Brazil," FIFA said in a statement.
