Waalwijk, Netherlands – Ajax closed to within three points of PSV Eindhoven for the top spot in the Eredivisie with a comfortable 2-0 win over RKC Waalwijk on Sunday at the Mandemakers Stadion.
Niklas Moisander got the visitors off to a good start when he found the back of the net just 22 minutes into the contest, and it was 2-0 for Ajax when Christian Eriksen scored five minutes before the intermission.
The hosts had a chance to pull one back in the 60th minute, but Robert Braber missed a penalty kick and Ajax held on for the clean sheet to move to 47 points from 23 matches.
