Amos Olatayo scored 22 points and Millaun Brown added a career-high 21 to go with eight rebounds as hot-shooting Louisiana-Monroe defeated North Texas 85-73 Thursday night in Sun Belt Conference play.
Trent Mackey scored 18 points, R.J. McCray 10 and Brown made 9 of 10 shots for the Warhawks, who shot 56.4 percent (31 of 55).
North Texas (9-18, 4-12) took its largest lead, 52-37, on a Tony Mitchell three-point play 4 minutes into the second half. But Brown scored six straight points, sparking a 32-6 run for the Warhawks.
Brown capped the run with a layup, and Louisiana-Monroe (4-17, 3-13) led by at least five the rest of the way.
North Texas shot 42 percent (12 of 28) in the second half, but Louisiana-Monroe answered with a sizzling 63 percent (19 of 30) to complete the comeback.
Roger Franklin paced North Texas with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
