Hameed Ali had 18 points, dished out six assists and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi earned its first two-game win streak of the season, defeating Central Arkansas 75-68 on Thursday night.
Will Nelson had 14 points and five rebounds for the Islanders (4-18, 3-9 Southland), which are 3-7 in their last 10 games.
Johnathan Jordan had 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists and made four straight free throws in the last 19 seconds to seal the deal for the Islanders. Dale Francis chipped in with 10 points.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi shot 49.2 percent from the field and had 20 assists as a team.
LaQuentin Miles scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Central Arkansas (9-14, 4-9), which committed 18 turnovers and shot 45.6 percent from the field. Robert Crawford had 15 points and Jarvis Garner chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds.
