UEFA announced on Wednesday that it will consider extending the suspension of PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Sweden international was sent off in the closing stages of PSG's 2-1 first leg victory over Valencia in the Champions League.

Ibrahimovic received a straight red card in stoppage time of Tuesday's game when he went over the ball to deliver a poor challenge on Valencia's Andres Guardado.

The Swede will serve an automatic one-match suspension during the return leg on March 6, but UEFA has said that its disciplinary panel will decide whether or not to extend the ban further when it hears the case on Feb. 27.
