Marcus Marshall capped a 19-point performance with two free throws with 8 seconds left, giving Missouri State a 67-65 victory over Indiana State on Tuesday night.

The Bears (8-18, 6-8 Missouri Valley) led the entire second half but saw conference co-leader Indiana State pull within 65-63 on Jake Odum's layup with 10 seconds left. Marshall was fouled and made both free throws to make it a two-possession game before ISU's R.J. Mahurin made a meaningless jumper just before the final buzzer.

Marshall's 19 points tied the career high he set in Saturday's 79-50 loss to Wichita State. Christian Kirk added 14 points and Keith Pickens had 11 for MSU.

Odum led the Sycamores (16-9, 9-5) with 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Manny Arop chipped in 15 points, including three 3-pointers.

The teams split their season series; Indiana State won 68-60 in Terre Haute, Ind., on Jan. 16.
