Gee McGhee had a team-high 14 points as Chattanooga beat Samford 62-59 in overtime Monday night.
Lance Stokes and Drazen Zlovaric each scored 13 for Chattanooga (10-15, 5-7 Southern Conference).
After Lance Stokes' layup with 53 seconds left put the Mocs ahead 55-53, Tim Williams converted two free throws with 42 seconds left to tie the game at 55. Raijon Kelly missed a 3-pointer for Samford sending the game into overtime.
Zlovaric opened overtime with a jumper and Stokes added a free throw to put the Mocs on top 58-55 with 3:22 left.
Though Kelly scored on two different occasions inside a minute to bring the Bulldogs within one, McGhee and Ronrico White each converted a pair of free throws to hold off Samford (8-17, 6-6).
Down three, 62-59, with 4 second remaining, Kelly missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer.
Kelly led the Bulldogs with 19 points.
